Vietnam Challenge 2017
October 14 - October 25$3350
Experience amazing Vietnam with ACCF and help save women’s lives.
Our journey begins in Hanoi with its special French colonial character. We will travel deep into the valleys of Mai Chau, where we walk between the traditional stilted villages of the White Thai minority. We will explore towering limestone karst scenery at Ninh Binh by bike and discover at handle bar level this friendly land (with a support vehicle following in case you want backup.)
We journey to Halong Bay enjoying the cruise aboard our well appointed junk. Here we swim and kayak in the turquoise waters of this truly special place. This UNESCO listed area includes some 100s of islands with towering limestone pillars all surrounded by turquoise clear waters. It is these limestone pillars, cragged and hewn by years of erosion into fantastic shapes that have inspired centuries of Vietnamese poetry and paintings.
Our challenge also takes in the inspiring work ACCF are offering in Vietnam and we will visit a hospital, clinics and volunteer on a community project. The funds you raise as part of your participation will screen and treat 75 Vietnamese women for cervical abnormalities and cervical cancer. During our adventure, we’ll visit one of the communes accessing this vital service and see a screening camp in progress.
