National Cervical Cancer Awareness Week aims to raise awareness about cervical cancer and abnormalities and encourage Australians to engage in the conversation about cervical health. This year, the money raised will go towards our CerviCAN Support Program, an ACCF initiative to provide support for women and families dealing with cervical cancer and abnormalities.
The ACCF Team will be out and about in Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, Perth, and Canberra. We’ll be hosting events across the country and there are heaps of ways you can get involved! Keep your eyes open for updates in the lead up to Awareness Week on our website and social media channels, and by signing up to our bi-monthly newsletter.
How can you get involved?
This year we are raising funds for our CerviCAN support program in Australia, so that we can help women and families going through diagnosis and treatment for cervical cancer and abnormalities. We need your support to achieve this goal, and every donation will help us get there. Donate now.
There will be many different events taking place throughout Awareness Week. We will be collecting donations and lighting up landmarks in capital cities right around Australia, holding a morning tea for Members of Parliament in Canberra, and hosting a video conference for Allied Health Professionals to discuss the changes to the National Cervical Screening Program. Some of the events you can attend this Awareness Week include a Melbourne cocktail evening, Brisbane luncheon, and Sydney dance benefit! Interested? Find out more and book your tickets here!

ACCF has recently launched the Faces of Cervical Cancer, an online space that allows people to share their stories about how cervical cancer has affected them or their loved ones. We hope that by reading these stories women will feel empowered to look after their cervical health, and women and families going through cervical cancer won’t feel so alone.
